Hired A2Z for structural calculations to knock through a load-bearing wall in our Victorian terrace in Wandsworth. They sized the RSJs perfectly, and Wandsworth Building Control approved the calculation pack with zero pushback. Quick site turnaround and clear drawings.

I searched for structural engineers in and around Essex, and A2Z Structural Engineering came up in the results. I read the reviews and was sold, so I sent the company a WhatsApp message and received a response first thing the following morning. Not only that, but Sayed also gave me a courtesy call later that day. I must stress that I have not yet had any work carried out by this company, as I am still waiting for other work to be completed before I can appoint Sayed to do his part. However, I felt compelled to write this pre-work review because I was completely blown away by how incredibly helpful and friendly Sayed was. He took the time to explain the entire process to me, including Building Control, and gave me ideas and potential workarounds for some of the issues I may face when it comes to carrying out the project in the near future. He also gave me a rough indication of his costs, which I found to be more than reasonable. I have never dealt with a structural engineer before, only builders, but Sayed has already set the bar incredibly high. I genuinely cannot wait to have him work on my property once it is ready, if he will be kind enough to accept the job. Post-work review to follow....

We are a construction company and were recommended A2Z by an architect we work with. We engaged them for a rear extension and garage conversion. During the works we hit unexpected ground conditions, including existing drainage beneath the site. Sayed attended site promptly, revised the foundation design to suit, and responded quickly to Building Control queries, which kept the job moving with minimal delay.
